My plan is also based off the trailmaster suspension lift. I was going to make drop mounts for the lower control arms, spacers for the upper ball joint, drop mounts for the torsion bar crossmemeber and for the front axle. I don't have my sway bar anymore, so there is no need for me to mess with drop mounts for it. There is also no need to mess with trying to drop the steering box down or lengthen the steering shaft. I was thinking about re-tapering the holes in the knuckles where the tie rods go in and flipping the tie rods over so they only have to flex a little bit more. There is plenty of adjustment in them. My estimated cost was between $200-250 for materials.
I spent a lot of time studying this picture... maybe it will help you. (its the trailmaster kit on a early Dakota)...

For not a whole lot more than that you could probably stuff a solid axle under there. Youd end up with a much simpler, more flexible design that wouldnt break as often. Especially if you can weld and cut materials yourself. All you really need to do is make your own shackle hangers if you get the right axle. You may need to cut and turn the perches, but thats not bad. Less time consuming that modifying your current suspension.

I'm not to sure about the keys. It looks to be the same. And the rear will work. But you can find the 1st gen kits on ebay if you just search. Here are the keys by them selfs. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1991-...=p4506.c0.m245
