Default Brake upgrade?

Ok so i have been lookng through the FAQ's and from what i have read that alot of Viper parts are semi interchangeable. I am wondering what is needed to put Viper front and Rear Brakes on my 3.9l dak(soon to be v8 cammed and sprayed) Viper brakes are not a must have i am just looking to upgrade the brakes in some way for safety purposes.....any info would be much appreciated. i am planning on making this quite the drag truck

I'm sure nothing is going to bolt on perfectly. TONS of modification will be needed. It would be sweet. But look into getting a 3/4 ton or higher brakes. Most modern ones have 2 or higher pistons. These will be easier to get then viper brakes. You can upgrade stock brakes by getting drilled and slotted rotors, performance pads. Change rubber lines to steal. For the rears you can get kits for disk brakes setups.

I have looked into this somewhat, not necessarily from a Viper but from a newer Dak or Ram. One problem you will run into is that the Ram's mostly had 5 lug wheels. I personally am going to go with ssbc rotors www.ssbrakes.com with Wagner severe duty pads and for the rear I'm going to swap in a 11 inch drum setup from a gen 2 Dakota. Our needs are a little different however, I am looking for stopping more weight while you are looking at stopping faster so you may want to swap in rotors in the back, ssbc makes a conversion but its pricey.

Good choice! I have the 11 inch drums on my truck that came with the corporate 9.25" axle I got. I can say 1st hand, they will stop this truck fast! If you don't have antilock brakes in the back, don't swap these in, cause they'll lock the rear up effortlessly!

i actually would like to swap the hubs to something with more wheel choices. its hard to find decent wheels to hold my drag radials in this bastard bolt pattern.

and i also am looking into swapping the rearends out but i literally know dick about dodge and mopar so im not sure what is the good rear end and what is interchangeable. i was just basically gonna get a 3/4 tpn rear axle and make it posi(if not already) and then make the ****er fit(plasma cutter and welders do wonders) lol any ideas. the rear end and the brakes are my first priority
