Default Underdrive pulleys?????

Hey I just bought underdrives pulleys for my 96 dodge dakota 5.2L. Does anybody know if I can remove the crank pulley without removing the balancer. Why does the stock crank pulley have 6 bolts then 1 center bolt? Does anybody have any tips or advice on removing and installing? The kit come with a crank pulley and altenator pulley 25% reduction, anybody know what size belt? Thanks

I would suggest downloading the FSM... the link is in FAQ2. It gives a complete teardown of everything on the truck.

Just unbolt the 6 smaller bolts for the crank pulley. I had charging trouble with using the underdrive alternator pulley but my alternator may be on its way out. Belt size for the underdrive crank pulley only is 7 rib 95 inches. I would guess with the alt pulley too it would be 92 inches. Also if you route it a different way the 95 inch will work for the crank/alt combination.

I think I said it backwards for the alt/crank combo. Should be like 96 inchesish.
