hey there... my friend has a 1993 dakota le with a 5.2 in it and he has been having tranny troubles ..... i have a 1992 dakota sport parts truck and it has the 3.9 ... so my question is will a V6 tranny bolt up to a 5.2

 

It will bolt up, but it won't handle the torque of the v8 for long. If this is a temporary fix it should work, but don't expect it to hold up for long.

 

id like to know that myself ive got a 95 dakota with a 5.2 and my tranny lost all gears at once while driving and i have a 3.9 laying around
