Default sensor in distributor 91 dak

hey everybody, well after wrenchin on my dak for the past couple days i've got it running pretty except now it turns off randomly about 15,20 minutes the check engine says loss of distributor input so i'm assuming its the distributor. when i go to auto zone and advance auto parts it says it has the distributor without module. Does that mean it doesn't include the sensor that seems to be the issue with my truck? If so where can i get the sensor? if I can't find any place that has it i might just go to the junkyard and get one. i've tried tugging on the wires a little but it doesn't turn off so i figure its the sensor inside the distributor.

You may want to check the FAQ in this section for the service manuals.

yeah that was it. dealer wanted 50 bucks for that piece of plastic sensor. no way i was payin that! went to the local junkyard and got one out of a truck and now it runs great. looks like this new one was just rebuilt because the vanes on the inside have no rust at all and the sensor looks like new! 20 bucks for the whole distributor
