Default Air Conditioning

My AC doesn't get extremely cold. I need to know how cold other Dakotas AC runs so I can know there is anything wrong with my AC componets. How cold does your guys's AC get?

Default RE: Air Conditioning

I have A/C on my Dakota and it doesn't get very cold either on fresh air or recirculate. On mine at least I know why...I have a constant flow of fresh air coming in to the cab and I haven't gotten around to blocking off the incoming air. Even when I have my vent switch on recirc. I have looked through my manual and it even says in the book that it has been set up that way. I thought I had a problem with mine at first but after looking through the manual, that's what I guess causes the A/C not to be as cold as it should be. Hope this helps.

Check the recirculate valves, they are vacume operated, my 92 runs R12 and blows about 45 to 50 on a warm day.
