Default 92 dakota wont crank.

Hi, I was reading some threads off this site and i was wondering if anybody could help me.I have a 92 dodge dakota 2wd 3.9L manual trans. It wont crank I can pop start it and its fine.It has a good battery, new starter, and new ignition switch.I found some burnt wires in harness under washer tank. The wires where 2 gray and one black taped together I dont see where they go they are blue and there realy is know sign of where they go unless they just get grounded up on the side.I dont even know if this has anything to do with the problem. It just started one day when I went out to start and there was nothing no sound or anything. If anybody can give me can help me with this I would appreciate it.I am new to this site so I will have to search around and see whats out there.Thank For Your Help.

Check to make sure there is power going to and coming out of the starter relay. The wiring diagram is available for download in faq2 in this section.

**EDIT** Copied from faq2:

Service manuals
You can get Haynes. It is similar to Chilton's in price and material, it will run you $15 at most parts stores. For $19.00 you can get a full service manual on-line at https://www.alldatadiy.com/index.html http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm
OR get the paper Full book at any dealership parts stores for $80. I got 1, I love it. Or http://www.helminc.com/helm/homepage.asp?r
OR here are a few sites that have some good manual stuff.

not sure about the 92 up but on 88-91 the washer tank is pretty close to the fusable links. i don't have my manual here but i'm sure one link is for power from the batt. through a relay and into the starter, if that is toasted there's no power to the starter. like 318 said check for power in and out of the relay. if it goes in but not out with the key in the start position, probably the relay but if there is no power going in check your links, not sure of the color.

just read in the manual there are 2 links to the relay. they are orange and gray. check them

Hello everyone....after reading tons of threads ...this one is exactly my problem . The gray wires come out of the fuse/relay box...from the a/c clutch relay and the 30 amp a/c clutch and rad .fan fuse. The black wire comes from the starter relay. They are solder into a fusable link ( 3 into 1 ) . the 1 is a smaller gauge black wire. I cannot figure out for the life of me where the 1 goes too. I cant find any broken wires or any other obvious splices . I cant decipher the wiring diagrams ive looked at.....can anyone please tell me where this 1 wire is supposed to go? Thank you so much.
