Can you put a tranny cooler down steram of the factory cooler? Im guessing you can???

You could put it downstream or upstream I believe, but if mine still had an automatic, I would disconnect the factory cooler completely because its a POS.

Most suggest putting the aftermarket downstream of the stock.
The reason they say to keep the stock is it "helps to warm the transmission fluid in cold temperatures."
(Although, if ya think about it, I would personally think the trans would heat up faster than the engine if your driving... these trucks seem to take a while to get to operating temp at cooler temps)
