The instructions tell you to bring it up two inches and drill new holes.

But who reads those anyway right?

I didnt redo mine since Im going to make a cutom bumper, but yes the side brace is in a cutout in the frame. I would assume you could replicate the hole its in higher up.

Cant help you with a picture. Im sure crazy or 318 will chime in soon. I know crazy made a push guard fit his bumper as well. He may have pictures for you.

My front bumper only has the center 2 brackets holding it on. I took off the outer brackets cause one of them was somehow ripped off by the PO and and I didn't feel like trying to raise the other side. All I did for the center 2 brackets is mark the holes 2 inches down and re-drilled them.

Its extremely stable. The only problem is if you ever get into a wreck, the bumper will fold up a lot easier at the 2 corners.

Yeah, the side braces are to stop the bumper from buckling at the frame on an outer corner impact. Well.....at least make it less easy i guess. If you dont plan on swapping bumpers just take it to a welder and have him lay a bead on top and bottom of the frame side of the brace. It could be ground of later if necessary, but would give you the bracing if you want it. Or just leave it off.

The sides were no problem for me. Just bent them to get the correct angle and it works great.
