I've been told 97+ do not bolt in to our trucks.

They did make buckets stock for our trucks, I swapped some into mine, if you live around here I know a junk yard with a damn nice pair of buckets and console from a (used to be) nice cash for clunkers Dakota.

It's certainly possible with some fabrication, I've seen it done, they just don't bolt in.

I kept an eye out on craigslist for a few weeks to find mine. The ones I spotted in the junkyard last weekend were even nicer than the ones I got, oh well.

Hey Hahn, Have you talked to you yard about parting the clunker truck? I got my light bar off a clunker(which wasnt even supposed to come off yet because our "fearless leader" hasnt paid the dealers for them yet) but I was told that nothing OEM was able to come off them and that they had to be crushed whole. I was only allowed the bar because it was aftermarket.

Depending where you live, it is up to the dealer how to dispose of the cars. Most are selling them to junkyards at auction. We discussed it once before. We got the official rules posted about it.

Yeah, there were a lot of C4C cars at the junkyard, there were a TON of explorers and a few dakotas.

i just got finished today swapping my seats out, i have a 1996 and the bucket seats i got were out of a 1998....very comfortable, i feel like the sit much lower than the old ones though. It was pretty difficult switching them out...had to make little brackets for the front mounts.
