Unhappy 95 won't start. Please help.

This truck had been running great just leaking a little transmission fluid.

Now, no crank whatsoever. The dash lights come on when I try to turn it over and that's it. The brake pedal seems to be stuck also, like it is hard to push it down.

I think it may be an electrical issue. I could use some ideas as to where to start though please and thanks.

Does it actually turn over, or does the starter just click? If it turns over, my first guess is it's the notorious power splice that provides power to the ASD and Fuel pump relays... it's known to corrode. There is a description and solution to this problem in faq or faq2, but the basic solution is locate the wire bundle in the power distribution center and strip the insulation from the splice and clean the corrosion off of it.

If all you're getting is a clicking, I would check the battery. If the battery checks out ok, next check the starter. Obvious, I know but you didn't say what you checked already. If it is turning over and won't start, check to see if you hear the fuel pump pressurizing when you turn the key on. if you don't, 95_318SLT's diagnosis is probably dead on.

Here's what you'll be looking for:

The brake pedal thing I think is unrelated. My pedal is usually hard to push down until the engine is on and there is vacuum applied to the power brake booster.
