Oh sweet! Thanks for those links! I just wish they had t56 swap parts on that site. There are a lot of GM T56's around me for sale, but no Dodge viper ones.
I guess now it just depends on how hard it is to tear into that transmission, Skyshark. Although, I still wouldn't rule out my previous idea. Making a sleeve and finding a clutch plate might be easier than swapping internal transmission parts... I don't know though, I've never torn down a manual transmission.

Yeah you need a flywheel. You cant use a converter plate from an automatic if thats what you were refering to?
For anyone who is wondering advance adapters makes NO mounting adapters for the 318. For any transmission.
actually 318 I really like your idea, and intend to at least run with it a little ways. I need to talk to a guy I know thats more knowledgable on this stuff than I am. But it seems feasable. Even a custom made bearing sleeve should be considerably cheaper than swaping shafts.
They do have some decent prices on parts though.
