brake lights on
i was pulling a flatbed trailor with my 93 dakota and pinched the wiring harness on the trailor causing a short.. it blew a couple of fuses and i got them replace, one being the dash lights. but now my abs and brake warnign light stays on and i had it checked by an elctrical place and they said it was in the brake system. brakes are ok. fluid level ok. brake job doine a month ago. never had lights on till the fuse blew the other night. any ideas? thanks in advance!
Hey blackie, I have a 93 Dakota also and after I did a brake job including purging the lines and refilling, my abs and park brake warning lights were on permanently. Two garages told me that there is a shuttle valve in the line that must be returned to the neutral position but with the fluid topped off this should happen automatically by just pushing on the brake pedal as hard as you can. This did not solve my problem. After about a month I discovered that my rear brake lights were out also. I replaced the fuse and lo and behold the abs and park dash warning lights went out and my rear brake lights came on. I bet its your fuse.
