i have a 1990 2wd 5spd and i blew the x-pin in the rear end. after fixing that there is a clunking sound coming from the rear end or tranny cant figure that part out. its only in gear with the clutch out and slightly when you turn a corner....oh yea it only does it when your on the gas even a little but when u let off it stops. Im a mechanic and i cant figure this one out. plz help.

 

Ujoints new or old? Open diff or lsd?

 

sounds like the rear diff is going or some bad teeth in there. I would open that up and take a look. put the rear end up on jack stands so you can turn it to see everything.
