Well mine was never low on fluid, but it did have 259xxx miles on it. When I went to get fluid for the replacement tranny, I grabbed a jug of dextron. It says that on the dipstick. So I was thinking with my dipstick Then I had them to pull a filter & gasket and they told me I had the wrong fluid that I needed ATF+4. I had no idea

 

Yea, a lot of the dipsticks are wrong. The correct automatic transmission fluid for the transmission, and the transfer case, is ATF+4.
