speaker quextion....

Default speaker quextion....

I was able to easily remove my door panels, and remove the completely rotted out OEM door speakers. The question I have is, when I looked it up, data shows the doors fit a 5.25" speaker - which i have a great set of Polk Audio 5.25" speakers ready to go in. However, they are too small - a 6.5" speaker would fit int he opening - but there are also no guide holes.

Is there an available adapter plate, or do I have to make my own baffles?

there should be an adapter plate that came with the speakers. I just bought some Alpine's and they came with them.

Just use a drill bit the size of the hole you want and drill holes in the speaker surround. As long as you stay a good distance away from the speaker itself youll be fine. And make sure the shavings go away from the speaker or clean them off gently.
