Default Trucks been sitting 5 years... alive again!

i have a 93 dakota, it was the first truck i ever got and i really enjoyed it until one day the driveshaft flew throught the transfercase where it then sat in my backyard for 5 years....

i just recently dropped a new transfercase in it, new remade steel driveshaft, new tires... and i dont know if uve ever heard of this but when i tryed putting new brakes on... i pressed the piston back in and the damn brake lines exploded... anywho i went to the autoparts store and bought some new line, bent it my self, hooked it up and the breaks work again =D...

aside from that this is my first post, i do need some help from yall...

i did a full tune up on the engine and hears where the problem lies...

the truck still fills like its lacking power(3.9L with jetchip) it use to be alot faster... feels like its bogging while driving..., also when im slowly down coming to a stop, it stalls everytime??? the tach and speedometer dont work, the fuel guage is going crazy(needle that is) im clueless?? any ideas??? oh yea its a 5 speed manual if that helps!

thx! =)

Well honestly, the fuel guage problem is to be expected. theres a write up on it in the FAQ I believe. Any codes? Check the IAC, TPS, EGR, MAP, Coolant temp. sensors, all those will make it do funny things, although a few of those may throw codes. As for the spedometer and tach, check the fuse box (both of them).

There may not be a CEL light, but have you tried running the codes? On-Off-On-Off-On and count the flashes.

The idling issue is most likely the IAC... probably frozen up after 5 years. This is at the back of the throttle body... 2 torx bit screws hold it on.

The lack of power could be the EGR, TPS, MAP, ECT, or a simple vacuum leak.
