Default odd issue

hey guys I'm having this really odd issue. Between shifts the revs take a long to drop. Like lets say I'm driving and I shift, the revs don't drop between gears but they try to stay where they were before the shift started. Is this normal with these trucks? I wouldn't know why, but hey maybe someone knows the answer to this one.

Sounds like there is a dead spot in you TP (Throttle Position) sensor.

It's a 4cyl carbed. It might be a sticky IAC. After doing some research I might take that off and clean it up.

My shifts aren't super fast but what I would consider normal. Even when I put it in neutral to stop the revs stay high and then slowly drop.

just thinking out loud, but i know with quad carbs, sticking revs is caused by a lean jetting. Have the temps gotten colder lately?
