no doubt bout it...the other night i raced an 08 chevy colorado and beat him right off the line till we hit the kroger bout a little over a quater mile ...pretty good..i had no idea the dakota sport v6 was that powerful..i met the guy in the parking lot and he asked if i had something special under the hodd .no just stock. he had the v6 3.7 L...i was very shocked..they just dont build em like they used to

Like I said above, if you get a line lock it's not such a big deal. With a line lock, you push the brake pedal to the floor, flip a switch, and let go... it holds whichever brakes you set it up to hold, usually the fronts and releases the others.






nice...btw did you have a locker in the rear or just a different rear end

Don't some of those Colorado's have inline 5's like the H3's.

i havent heard anything about inline 5's...didnt know they put some in those trucks

Chrysler 9.25" rear axle with 3.55s and a Trac-Lok LSD. Whenever that wears out, I'll lock it for real.

it is a chevy!

all i have harmed doing many many brakestands over the years is bunches of tires. wet pavement does not wear as bad as dry but dry pavement makes the smoke show!
