Default Real time help heater core

Ok, so I dont have an issue with the core. Im pulling the assembly and I cant get the Ac crap through the firewall. Theres a round electrical plug thats jamming me up. Does that thing come off? If so I can avoid venting the freon.

So....does it come off or how do you get that thing through the firewall?

UPDATE: Got it. What a craptastic project this is.

I just did this last night. I just got mad and took it off. It will vent out. the only other idea would be to cut the firewall to let the electrical plug through the firewall. Just cut the wires with enough to splice back together anyways. It took me 3.5 hours to take the heater box out and 4 to put everything back to the way it was.

I ended up venting it too. I mean......I hooked it up to a vacuum pump and evacuated it. yeah....that one.
