Angry truck has no power

I have a 93 dakota with a 5.2l V8. in the last month i noticed an occasional problem with the starter, the the solenoid clicks but the the starter won't turn. as the days passed i kept an eye on the starter and how the truck was running. well, today i drove it it all day and had the problem once. until about 10pm when i stepped into a walgreens for 2min. to ask directions. when i went to start my truck wouldn't start. thinking it was a dead battery, i had my friend bring his truck over to jump the battery(no luck). he thought i left the lights on but when he flipped the foglights on the turned on and weren't dim. we tried to turn the motor over but nothing ran, even in accessory nothing turned on...
I mean there was nothing except the fog lights...

anyone could give me some tips on a fix or something(besides selling it). it would help very much.

I think of a bad starter when you talk about the starter not turning. And for the accessories it can be a bad battery or connection or fuses. You may have 2 problems.

Sounds like you have a bad ground on battery

the battery was the first thing i checked wires and all. i had that problem with my daytona a week ago. i went back to fix my truck(it left me stranded in hartford at 10:30 last night about an hour from home) and it started right up...well i drove it back while i had it running. later i pulled the starter motor and replaced it with a new one. so far so good now the only problem it has is the flooding out in reverse...thanks for the help...
