My Last Tire/Wheel question
After getting an email from stylin trucks today saying that the 15X8 pro comps i ordered are temporarily out of stock and they would not get them in untill next February i finally found a place that had these pro comps in stock. So I called the National Tire & Wheel company and they had 4 16X8's in. The bolt pattern 6X4.5 is right, but he said the backspacing is 4.5 inches and that the wheels would most likely bulge out from under the truck. Would this be a problem in terms of rubbing, or hitting the fender well when going over bumps. My truck is an extended cab 2wd V8 and from my understanding the 4WD trucks are a bit higher off the ground then 2WD's. And i cannot find a 2wd body or suspension lift besides some coil spacers on ebay that lifts the front of your truck, soooo does this mean im screwed? Keep in mind the tire size im planning on getting now is 245/70/16. My other question would be, has anybody found a 2wd lift kit for 93 dakota?
For lift in the front, you can do coil spacers like you mentioned. In the back, you can go with longer shackles. The same body lift for the 4x4 fits the 2wd, but you have to lengthen the steering shaft.
As for the tires, there is a good chance they will rub. That is kind of a big tire for a stock 2wd, but if you do either 2 inch coil spacers or a 2 inch body lift, they should fit without a problem.

i have decided i don't want to adjust my trucks height, because of the extra money i would have to invest in this tire/wheel situation. So i have an option or two. Should I cancel my order right away, or hope getting a wider but shorter tire will eliminate rubbing (skinnier sidewall).
