Default Traction Bars for 4x4s!

I know traction bars have been discussed a little bit. If you'd like a set for a 4wd, here's what I did.
I bought Lakewood traction bars for a 2wd Ford Ranger, 2wd Rangers share the 2 1/2" leaf width and are sprung over like 4wd Dakotas. You need 2wd spring plates and U-bolts like my truck has (previous owner swapped in a 2wd axle, flipped the perches and used the 2wd hardware). Also the supplied bolts are a tad short and my side exit exhaust was in the way so the exhaust is dumped for now. They work pretty good, I just need to shim the passenger bar a little bit and it should be golden. I love the solid feeling of no axle wrap! And goddamn I hate dumped exhaust, I don't know how you guys do it...

Sweet, can we get a picture of the truck flexxed all the way out with the traction bars on? Cause that has always been my question... how does the traction bars effect the flexxing ability.

Also, can you tell a difference in off-the-line hookup?

I'm pretty sure they'll limit the up travel. I'll see if I can get some flex pics tomorrow after I adjust the passenger bar. For me it doesn't make a difference since it's not my wheeler and when it does go off-road the locker makes up for a hell of a lot of flex.

Not really sure if there's anymore actual traction, it just gives a firm planted feel and when I spin the tires there's no more teeth rattling wheel hop.

LOL yea I love the locker! To say the truth I have never experinced wheel hop in my truck. I guess the Ram 2500HD springs hold it nice and tight.
