Default Cold air intake?

Can we put cold air intakes on our trucks (stock 3.9 v6).... ? And if so, has anyone done it?

Ok well I assume we can't but does anyone know about upgrading to a performance filter? Any recommendations here? And I've seen throttle body spacers.... Are they worth it? Mainly I just want to increase the fuel economy and power without doing anything costly or major.

Throttle body spacers do absolutely nothing for our trucks so save your money.

I have upgraded to a K&N air filter and I like it a lot. I also installed a V8 throttle body on my V6 to help a little with the air flow. They aren't the cheapest but you can keep cleaning them instead of replacing them in the future.

I have asked this before, with no answer...

I have read that the TB spacers have no benefit at all for the Magnum series engines - but what about the base LA series engines? I have a 91 pre-magnum LA 318 engine, and was wondering if a aspacer would be of any benefit here?

It may due to it being a Throttle body fuel injection or a Carb setup. Its hard for anyone to tell unless they try.

I'll probably go with a K&N, any noticeable differences in HP & low end?
