New gears and sure-grip question
Ive got a 96 Dakota 5.2L 5 speed with 8.25 rear end. I just had 4.10 gears and Mopar Sure-grip installed. Should I break the new stuff in? When should I change it? What kind of oil should I use? Its a little noisey right now, is it suppose to be?

Well I don't know any way to break it in besides just drive it and don't try any hard off the line launches.
Does it clunk when you start from a stop or is the noise more of a whine? I assume there is LSD friction modifier in the fluid cause if not the clutches will chatter.

Well....I would check on the manufacturer and the fluid type, then let us know. Also, like 318 said, your gears arent set yet, so dont get happy on the skinny pedal unless you wanna pay for gears again.
When does said whine occur? All the time, or only while accelerating, or only while deaccelerating? Here is what the FSM says about possible noises:

vehicle turns, the side or pinion gears could be
