Old gauge (dumby lights) to dash with all gauges?
Okay, My base model 87 Dakota has the basic gauge kit. Fuel, speedo and everything else is dumby lights. I want a tach and real guages for temp and oil pressure. I found a guage set in the local junk yard with a tach and all the gauges.
What would I need to swap the two out and get everything to work on my truck. I apologize for bieng new on this but if anyone has step by steps that would be a great help. Thanks.

It might be an easy swap. But I don't know. Check the FAQ in this section for online service manuals and wiring diagrams. See if the connectors are the same. See if the wires are the same. You may need to cut and add in the new plugs for the new gauges. Also the the 87 is carbed. The 1990 is Fuel Injected.
