Default Speaker depth question....

I know it was posed before that in the extended cab, on the drivers side, rear, in the storage cubby, a 10" sub would fit. However, what is the depth that will fit, and still be able to use the rear seat?

I do not have the truck readily available to measure, and have a shot at a great deal on a JL 10" sub...

Its not the depth thats the issue, its the magnet diameter. Neither of my JL w6's would have fit. My sony has a smaller diameter magnet.

For the depth get a tape measure and measure from the top of the box to the bottom.

For the seats if functional afterwords, it depends on how you mounted it in. If you just sit it above box then if someone sits down it may kill it. But if you mount it flush with box or slightly under so the seat rests on the box only then your safe.

That I understand - but since I don;t have access to the truck to measure right now, I was hoping someone could help - I don't have long for this offer to last - their holding it for me. It's a JL w3, if that helps.

Without some mods or doing some decent work to make it fit that way Im gonna say no. Not to keep the seat functional.

I have a basic Rockford 10" in mine and its pretty tight. My seat does still work. I want to gut the bottom of the space and put a 12 and 10 in there together and seal the bottom with wood.
