Default Still Shutting Down

Hey All,

Has not been a while since I was on here, have been very busy trying to get ready for my first winter in America!!!!

I am still having shutting down problems with my 96 dakota. Every now and then the engine will quite dead on you. The problem is in the computer module that sits on the R/H inside section under the hood. I know this as after it shuts down you simply have to very lightly tap the plug going into the computer and then it is fine. I also know that when you tap the plug you will hear an electric motor wind for about 2 seconds some where in the engine, I am guessing the fuel shutoff????
I have tried cleaning the plug up with a wire brush to remove corrosion and this has not helped, any ideas. If it is a loose wire or corrosion does any one know what wire numbers would be issue as there is a so many it will take me a long time to track it down.
Any other ideas???????

It could be any number of wires. Sorry to say but start checking. We have a service manual for a 96 in the FAQ in this section. Get the pin diagram and go to town. Good luck!
