Default Manual Transmission Search

I have been trying to find a manual trans for my 96 V8 2wd. Seems that these are the rarest. Are there any other options for me as far as transmissions. I know the 4wd trans has a different tail shaft, but is it adaptable? I also know the Rams have the same trans but the shifter is in a different location and I'm not sure about the tail shaft. I wouldn't be against something completely different but I don't want to spend a lot. Also if anyone has one to sell I am interested.

Yep and Yep. Have seen a couple on ebay but the sellers didn't really seem to know what they had exactly.

"Well it came from a 94 I think and it was either a V6 or V8"

I have one sitting in my garage, an NV3500 out of a 1997 Dakota, 2WD with 48,000 miles on it. Should be well taken care of. I bought it with a 318 that I needed but I don't need the trans. 318 was immaculate inside so the guy took care of his stuff. If you are interested PM me.
