Default 1988 dodge

i have 1988 dodge dakota with 110,00 miles on,idk if the same motor or not..but carb needs rebuilt need to pump it 4 times to start.but its really hard to hitt 65 miles an hour.this normal,i mean has good power down low but soon as it gets high speeds it sucks.any idea.

It may be carb, timing, tranny. Lots of possibilities.

first off Welcome to DODGE FORUM!!!
Probably more so carb especially when it comes to starting, mine only needs 1 pump and thats only when the engines cold

yeah i dont think its tranny.and timming i check the fireing order and its find.
