I got an alpine reciever, 2 polk momo's in the back and 2 kenwoods in the front. I got the kenwoods for free, but will probably replace them when i replace the weather stripping on the windows. I do want a sub sometime down the road... They have a slim box at walmart that's made for standard cab trucks, may just buy that and get a nice 10" woofer off of craigslist. I'll need an amp aswell.

ModT: have you tried removing the plastic tray & jack kit? that would probably give you some more room. Maybe you can custom make a speaker box to fit 2 or more 10" woofers. I know you can fit at least 3 back there if the box was long enough.

Ya I have the tray and jack kit removed. I was thinking...I saw a sub box at Visions for $90 theyre really small it fits a 10" sub, and it can fit behind my seat. I was just wondering what you think it will sound liek if I put a sub in 2 different boxes and wired them together what that would sound liek , so I would have one sub behind each seat. I dont know if that would just sound distorted or if it would sound good. It was just an idea I had. But Ill eventually be getting an extended cab, so I can just have one big box in there, but I dont know how long it will be till that happens.

Cause I just bought a truck Dodge w200, with Dana 60 rear, 360 motor, solid front axle, and I want to throw a extended cab dakota on it, cause Im going to get it right down to the frame and sandblast it then coat it with this awesome stuff i forget what its called, but itll never rust, and it will look sweet!

But for now what do you think about the double box? Good Idea or bad idea"?

I'm guessing you're gunna coat the axle in por-15? Alot of the guys here use it. One guy did his engine with it.

**anyone correct me if I am wrong here**

Sub's deal strictly with low end... I'd think that As long as the settings are straightened out it should sound good. I'd probably stick with the same woofer speaker though. There is ported and unported sub enclosures... Maybe if you had both it might increase the bass responses and give you a better spectrum? (i'm not sure) But...... You could try different things. I did see that sub box at walmart for $21... maybe you can check out first?

Ya Ill probably try out the 2 sub boxes eventually. I dont know when Ill get them, but Ill give it a shot, Im hoping they have those sub boxes at the wal mart here , so that I can just see how it sounds without spending a bunch of money. But I dont think Im going to get ported sub boxes, The one that I have now sounds pretty good and its not ported...I dont know what do you think is betteR? or is it pretty much a personal preference?

My stereo sucks right now cause 2 of the speakers are blown and it crackles ...if i dont fix it soon Im going to go nuts.

My bf is putting a transmission in the truck tonight and tomorrow then im taking over the garage. so my speakers will be in soon before the weekend, Then ill just buy the box for the subs, oh **** I gotta buy another sub, Ive blown 3 with the 3000 watt amp I have but this kicker that ive got in there now is doing awesome! Hopefully that didnt jinx it..lol, Thanks for the replies

So I got my 6x9s in and they sound awesome, I didnt do the 6" on the doors yet, gonna get to that soon, i just didnt wanna screw around with that clip that holds the handle that rolls up the window, but I dont think the tool for that is actually very good...do you guys think its easier to use that or just a screwdriver?? Its not so much the getting the clip out but getting it back in.

Im so happy with the sound of the 6x9s, they could be louder, but I think once I get the 6" in there it will sound much better, and get a bigger amp for those speakers, cause right now i think its only 150 watt amp powering the speakers. Ill have to get an amp for that, Then Im sure it will sound awesome.

And possibly put my 2 subs in there in seperate boxes, I looked up a couple of things and apparently some performance sound systems have boxes made liek that. So If I build a box with the right dimensions for the sub I think it could sound pretty sweet. I know have every speaker and sub in there, is going to be Kicker so I think all the same brand will sound much better than a bunch of different one which is what was in my truck before.

But while I was doing my 6x9s there was wires that were hanging everywhere, and instead of saudering the 2 ends together they were just twisted together no tape or anything, thanks to my boss at Emortal what a hak, and one of the power wires was jsut hanging there, so my truck could have burnt down. And something else pretty stupid done by my boss, 2 of my grounds were held on by self tappers...haha wow, and to believe he has his own company....what a dick head!

used the originals in the back and sony 160 in the front. the stereo could play cd's, usb's and sd cards up to 16 gigs. pick your file (album) and let her rip. on a lake at a 100 yrds away it was as clear as a bell. never needed that thump, thump, thump to get peoples attention.
the whole setup cost me $260 cdn and worked great.
