Well Ill just keep this short and sweet. I own a 96 Dakota 3.9liter v6. I'm wanting to put a new muffler on it. I'm trying to go for a loudish deep rumble that you would get with a v8. I know I can't get it exactly like that but I'd like as close as possible. I'm open to suggestions as to what I should get but here's generally what I want. If like flowmasters with a dual exhaust, single in dual out. That's about all I got. Oh I don't want it to sound like a loud high pitch pop, nor would I like it to sound like a low hum. Just a nice deep raspy sound that I'd also like to be decently loud.

 

First I would say go to www.youtube.com and find some v6's with Flowmaster. See what you like.

 

Yes I have done that. I'm liking the sounds of the flowmaster 40 series. The problem about looking on Youtube is most of them are just idling with some revs. It may sound good at idle and sound like crap going down the road. Just wanna get some opinions on it. Well I still got about three weeks till ill have the money to do it so ill keep looking.
