my fuel gauge is doing the same damn thing... driving me nuts...

when I completely fill it, it shows Full

about 50 miles into the tank, it just floats from 1/4 to 3/4

after about 170 miles into tank, it just stays around 1/4

I dont know whats going on, and driving me crazy

It is a common problem on these sending units. It is usually a tab that get corroded. There is a write up on it in the FAQ. Its best usually to replace the sending unit. But is costs $200.
