after having, what i assumed was bad gas, or my own fault, letting it sit on almost on E for the weekend and putting gas in it on a monday.
The truck, when warmed up would jerk like a sob, loose power at 55 mph, drop to 30, and go back and forth like this for a while, then just plain die. After putting cleaner in it and flooring it to 70 on a cold work night home, it broke free from its demon and worked just fine till the next weekend.
So we follow through my same faults, doing the same thing as last, i put the cleaner in, long behold it worked a little bit, but went to worst. I managed to get it to work and park it there. Went out at lunch to turn it over and let it cycle the gas and cleaner. I dropped it into reverse, and it died.
I drop it in neutral, works fine, push it back 2 ft and put it in drive, it drives. Also when i shut the door, albeit a little to hard, it dies. lmao what the ell you think it is? I have 12, had 23 or24 but its not showing again and 33 the ac clutch.
It is a 1989 V6 3.9 l.

I do not think it is the IAC.
Based on your door slamming, I would start by checking the splices under the hood. Then relays. Check the FAQ for the location of the "splice" that goes out a lot. If it isn't fully corroded and makes contact now and then it can give you some funky symptoms, I thought I had bad gas for the longest time, changed the fuel pump, turned out to be the splice.
