I have a new symptom to add.

EXTRA HORSEPOWER!

thats right this thing is a whole different beast now, cruising this thing surges and wants to die, and idles at 400 than jumps to 800 then finally settles at 600 when i stop. However when i floor it this thing jumps to life. 15-20 MPH if i floor it and it kicks down to 1st gear the tires let loose now, never did that before.

does this clue anyone in what to look at?

i plan on doing a full tune up using the FAQ guidelines. i was going to replace the IAC while i was at it but i could feel it move when i put my finger on it so i'm thinking it ok.

The Idle issue can be a slow IAC. Idle Air Control valve. So was the problem a vacuum leak?

I haven't had time to check very thoroughly yet, a few minutes worth of a visual inspection with it idling didn't give me anything definite. I plan on spraying the injectors with come carb cleaner while im doing the tune up. All the vacuum lines looked and felt good nothing obvious. only thing i noticed was what looked like a vacuum distribution block located on the drivers side rear of the intake manifold was busted off of its mount. Everything seemed in tact though

the problem may have been solved, drove back and forth to work approx 40 miles total and things seem to be getting better.

the surging is gone.

stalling out seems to be better not 100% yet

all i did was add 11 gallons of gas to the tank. it seems as if i got some bad gas or someone put something in my tank. will give an update after the tune up this weekend and a little more seat time.
