i drive a 1991 dodge dakota 4 cylinder 5 speed manual and lately is been having problems, the other day the check engine light came on and today it was idling rough, stalled at a stop, and was very sluggish, lacking any power at all, my brother thinks the carburator needs to be cleaned, any ideas about what it could be or what to do? all help is appreciated

 

Did you pull the engine codes? That could help out a lot. The 91's did not have carbs, they had throttle body injection.
