Default Pin stripe removal tips?

I have a 2 toned Kota. Black and gray. And a really ugly red stripe sticker going all the way around the truck. It appears to be a vynal sticker that is 17 years old. Any tips on removing it without damaging the paint and leaving any of the glue residue?

They make a sweet tool that goes into a drill, looks like a big eraser. you can google it and find them

There are a few things you can try. You can use a heat gun to heat up the sticker and peel it off, but chances are it will break apart because of its age, but if it does come off, it will be the cleanest method. Then once the stripe is off, take an adhesive remover to get off any remaining glue.

If that fails, you can try an eraser wheel...

This is after a very quick google search.. you may be able to find it locally or cheaper.

Use that in any kind of rotary tool (drill, grinder, pneumatic grinder, etc.)

Once you get the stripe off, you'll have to wash, wax, and possibly buff the paint to get the rubber scuff marks off. Also keep in mind, don't stay in 1 spot too long or you can burn the paint.
