Default cruise control

Everything in and on my truck works ... ( thanks to everyone who posted about that 5 amp fuse under the hood ) except the cruise control. I have a chilton repair manual but it doesn't say much about this or have a map of the fuse box. '95 2wd, 5.2, at w\ od. Thanks, fatso

So what is the problem exactly. The cruise control doesn't work at all? Or does it only at times? Did it ever work?

The typical problem usually is going to be the vacuum source. Did you check the vacuum hoses? Did you check the wires that connect to the module to make sure it looks good and is plugged in correctly?

The fuse is #15 a 2amp.

I've only had the truck about two months. the cruise control doesn't work at all and hasn't since I've owned it. I haven't really checked anything yet, going out right now to look for fuse #15. Where are the vacuum lines ?

The vacuum lines come off the intake manifold, and get mapped all around to various parts of the truck. I believe the vacuum lines for the CC system are T-ed off where one end goes to the CC and the other goes to the HVAC vent selector. But follow the little rubber hose off the big ball attached to the passenger side of the firewall.

I also don't have CC...I bought the truck this past summer and it hasn't had cruise the whole time...should I be looking for cracks in the vacuum lines or what? What can I do to find hairline cracks in the lines?
