Lol, your speedometer will! Its cable driven... computer won't change that. Mine wouldn't work! Besides, I want it there in case I ever go to a 360!

Oh, and WOT is a lot more fun with the 5.9's fuel map!

Lol at you two.
I've got a 3.9 driven off a 3.9 computer, who's fuel mapping must match a 5.2L (minus the available power).

Hey guys

Sorry to jump into this thread, I have a 1993 Dodge Ram 318 which uses the 56027848 (Fed) and I've got hold of a 5602750 (CA). Can I use it? Will it throw CEL, run too rich/lean, damage something?

I've read about different O2 sensors etc but I just care about MPG. I can't find any info on the different specs of the CA vs Fed version of my van.

thanks!

Wilbo

I looked up the your new ECM by part number nothing came up. It looks like you may be missing a number.

But if it is for a 93 5.2 all the same as yours then my guess is it should work just fine. The difference will be in the software. The CA edition will have striker emissions (EGR ect.).

As for sensors they all should work for the other computer.

So do you have a Ram or the Van?

Also don't be scared to start a new thread since it doesn't relate to the original poster.

Hi Crazy

Yeah you're right it should have been 56028750 (its a Mopar and printed on it is R6027850 - I think R might mean reconditioned?).

So mine is 56027848 (or R6027848).

It's for a Ram Van 318 1993 and I did start a thread over there, I just thought it would be worth checking with you guys as you looked liked you done some investigation into it.

Btw I checked by exhaust and it's only got 1 O2 sensor (pre cat), unless I'm blind! I wonder if the CA ECU needs a 2nd one post-cat?

thanks

Wilbo.
