Default Help

I need some suggestions. I tried to move the 2WD dakota I got and The car starts and runs idle, but after a couple minutes it dies and just stops. There is spark. One of the coils has a continuous visible spark. I looked into the throttle body and can't really see any fuel spray. I really need to move it what could it be?

If you got spark, your problem is going to be a fuel issue. Make sure you pump is running and getting good pressure.

I was thinking it was the pump from the beginning. The truck was sitting for a year at least previous to me picking it up, could some gas slime have blocked it? lol....

I need to drive like 500 feet to move it where i can work on it. I don't have the money to replace the pump yet so that can't be done...

It's really odd... when the truck dies it doesn't stutter it's like something just shuts off... I don't know where to start or how to check the fuel pressure.
