Default Power Window/Locks wiring harness removal

How to take off the wiring harness for the power windows/locks from the vinyl square, with the buttons on it. Looks like there are little latches that you should be able to pry up than pull the harness thing out, but it seems like if i used any more force to get it over the ledge thing I would snap the latch right off. If i remove it will it create problems electrical wise?

Heres a picture of what im talking about:

The green arrow points to the tabs you have to open to get the switch out from the housing. One on each side. 2 per switch

The Blue arrow points to the tabs you have to open to get the wiring harness out from the switch. One per side. 2 per switch. The switch is hard to remove. The pins are tight. I have gotten a screw driver in the middle to help pry. Just don't touch any terminals.

Also when posting in pics use the URL with IMG tags around it.
