oil pressure

I wouldn't worry with it if the the oil pressure is staying within the limits I posted. If the mains are worn there are probably other issues that need addressed.

i hate to resurrect a dead thread...

but i am getting the same problem. oil pressure drops and the oil light flickers under heavy deceleration, and I believe it also drops when turning right, but that could be a function of the heavy deceleration.

mine is a 4x4 3.9L. looks like a real pain to replace the oil pump. any good threads to catch up to speed about what else should be replaced while i'm in there?

the oil sending unit behind the carb. its $20 try replacing that

replaced the oil sending unit, and that's what it was.

odd though, had both the idle control valve and the oil sending unit fail within a 1 month time frame.
