Heater fan resistor block
my blower motor doesn't work at all and i found in the faq that the resistor block can go out, i pulled mine and it has a broken/corroded wire. can i solder this or does it get too hot?

You can solder it on. But replacing it with another plug would be best.

the resistor is like 20 bucks at an autoparts place, if you want you can jump 12v to the fan motor just to make sure.

Ya just replace the resistor. Chances are it will fail again.

I bought a new one recently and it was actually only $4.00. It's too cheap to replace to try and fix it.

Perhaps, if Chrysler sealed or protected these things better, people wouldn't be having these problems.

Here's what I did for mine and I haven't had to replace it since.

Total parts from Radio Shack was about $5 and it took about 30min to cut, fit and install. Well worth it if you asked me..
