Default 3.9 swap

i have a 95 dak with a 3.9,i picked up another 3.9 out of a ram that is newer than 95(i think)the new motor has a tensioner on the timing chain,can anyone tell me what year the motor might be,my haynes manual isnt much help.thanks

The only way to know the year of the motor is the code on the back. It is tough to find a site to decode it. But any 3.9 magnum from 92-02 or so will work. Just swap the motor. Use your stock sensors and wires.

If you get a '96+ engine, use your intake and exhaust manifolds cause the newer ones lack the EGR valve and have different sensor plugs on all the sensors.
