Don't know where your at but one guy is parting out a 87. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...ota-parts.html

I don't think your going to be able to by a new one. But go to www.google.com and spend some time searching. Next choice is junkyard or www.ebay.com or www.craigslist.org or by a universal one or a fuel cell.

If you find a good used one that needs to be shipped, bear in mind that Fedex, UPS, etc. don't like shipping items that have had volatile fluids in them, especially if sealed. They ship NEW gas tanks all the time, but balk at shipping used ones.
Remove the filter/pump/sensor so the shipping company can see that it is clean and dry inside. They might even require those to be shipped seperately.
I had trouble once shipping a ring/pinion/carrier setup. I had them squeaky clean and inside a plastic bucket but you could still smell a bit of oil, but after I took the top off and they looked inside, they agreed that it wasn't likely to spontaneously combust...

New you're probably SOL, but you should be able to find a used tank near you from http://www.car-part.com
