Quick question!!
I put the reindexed torsion keys on my truck yesterday. Everything went together smooth and worked great. I took the truck out to the mountain for some minor wheelin today and everytime I hit a hole or bump with the passenger side front I hear a clunk. The driver side doesnt do that. I was wondering what could be the problem? I didnt max the keys out I ran them up to where they were just about 1/4" from the bump stops after a few adjustments. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks..

Lower ball joints need replacing everything else is new. When I jack the truck up and try to move the wheel and tire back and forth it dose not move at all. Everything feels solid. I have the new lower ball joints already just havnt replaced them. I dont know if I want to tackle something like that or what all I need to take loose to get to them. All 4 tie rod ends, idler arm, pitman arm, hub assemblys, and axles have all been replaced and look good.(had the axles and ball joints replaced and I did all the rest).
I think it may be the bump stop hitting cause it isnt a popping noise. It sounds like it may be hitting or bottoming out. It makes a clunk sound when it drops off in a good hole. I may have to do some more adjusting on it and put the control arms against the bump stops so they wont hit lol.
With that said, I think you're just hitting the bump stops. It can get very noisy when you hit bump stops!! Consider this... you said you raised it up so that the control arm is 1/4 inch off the upper bump stop. With a heavily loaded spring, when the tire falls into a hole or bump or something, it doesn't take much for that control arm to drop down that 1/4 of an inch! Not only is gravity pulling it down, but the spring is pushing it down at the same time. That means its going to fall fast and hard, which will most definately make a popping or banging noise.
I never noticed any noises, but I had my upper bump stops smashed against the control arm with the truck sitting still, so dropping down into a hole, etc. didn't do anything! It was definately a rough ride though!

mine are not touching but tomorrow when I get off work I am going to put them against the stops and see if it is still doing it. How did you have the back of you truck lifted to match the front?

The back of my truck was sitting about an inch higher than the front. Here is a picture of my truck's sweep...

I didn't use blocks at all!! I had a corp. 9.25" rear axle, which is slightly bigger in diameter, I had slightly taller than factory perches on that axle, and I had towing shocks on it, which all together added up to whatever height I gained. I did have square ubolts though to go across the springs!
