transmisson shifting

I have a 95 dakota 3.9 auto the trans shifts good till it till over drive and i have to let up on the gas it will and go on and no problem . it will shift in to overdrive if i run the rpm up and then it finally shift

Check the TPS for a dead spot, mine was doing the same thing. Replaced the TPS and all is well.
