dakota problem

Default dakota problem

ok guys ive got a problem i was driving down the road the other day and my dakota jus stoped moving we came to a rolling stop jerking will doing so i got out and my left axel has apeard to of sliped out and the right side is locked up i removed the diffrental cover and the two visable gears are fine and the keeper key is broken off and fallen inside the differital by the why its a 1992 4x4 with 3.55 gears any help would be apprictiated and i was wondering if it could be the spider gears

It could be anything. Since we can't see it we don't know. But the shaft lock bolt brakes and the shaft falls. Then the C-Clip can fall off.

+1... we need pictures.

Full floating axles for the win! I'd have to shear off 8 bolts before my new rear axle lost an axle shaft... and even then the wheel is still on the hub, so it wouldn't go anywhere. :P
