Smile Computer swap

I am in the midst of fixing an issue with the electrical in my 94 Dakota with a 318, 5 speed... which use to be a v6 3.9 5 speed. I was told that what ever the computer is out of, the truck needs to be wired that way. Meaning all of the sensors and such have to be for the same vehicle the computer came out of. Mine, I put a computer out of a 1995 dodge 1/2 ton 318, 5 speed, 2 wheel drive. But now it coughs and bangs and won't run very well when we hook up the o2 sensors which we moved and a 2nd one was added so now there is two which I found out the 1995 dodge had and the computer has two inputs for them as well. Now it does the banging and popping and won't run great. I had been told it might be a bad computer. Any other ideas?.....

thanks in advance,

Paul

Did it ever run after your v6 to v8 swap?

The '95 Ram computer should work fine. I have a '95 Ram 5.9L mopar performance computer running my 5.2 and I've never had a single issue.
