is it normal
if the only way i knew that my truck was a dodge when i got itwas the magnum v6 things on the side and the dodge emblem on the rear bumper it doesnt say the word "dodge" anywhere on the outside
Hmm, it sounds to me like sombody changed something on your tailgate at some point in the truck's history. Cause this is what it should look like...

(thats my other '95 2wd Dakota)
I changed the emblems on my 4x4. That emblem on the tailgate is the only emblem left on the whole truck now! I personally hate emblems. Anybody who doesn't already know its a Dodge, probably doesn't care.

Don't forget the Dodge written on the top of the grill. Unless its aftermarket replacement then some don't have it written.
It may be on the interior but on the 92-93 Dodge is written on the horn button on the steering wheel. I'm not sure what the newer ones have.

I was at the local salvage yard the other day and saw a stack of tailgates in a rack. I thought they looked familiar (and they were). None of them said "Dodge" on them. I thought that was strange. I guess the earlier tailgates had "Dodge" stamped into them and the later models just used decals or were left blank.
cup holder yes but that is in the inside filter cover not the original but the one from the junkyard felix gave to me for free says it
